Our Handcrafted Alfajores for any occasion are made up of two delicate butter shortbread cookies filled with a generous layer of dulce de leche, covered in meringue icing or semi-sweet chocolate.
Ingredients
Shortbread cookie:
Wheat flour, corn starch, butter, sugar, vanilla extract, and salt.
Filling:
Dulce de leche: [non-fat dry milk, non-GMO cane sugar, glucose, soybean oil, sodium bicarbonate, agar-agar, potassium sorbate (preservative), and natural flavors].
Meringue Icing:
Sugar, dried egg whites (egg whites, sunflower lecithin), cream of tartar, corn starch, and natural vanilla flavor with other natural flavors.
Chocolate COVER:
Ghirardelli Chocolate, Sugar, hydrogenated palm kernel and palm oils, non-fat dry milk, cocoa - processed with alkali, cocoa, glyceryl lacto esters, soy lecithin (emulsifier), and salt.
